This booklet was a creative homemade Christmas present for young Roy Sheppard Minerd by his mother, Margaret Jane (Sheppard) Minerd, in 1895. The wife of a Methodist preacher in Uniontown, Fayette County, PA, Margaret collected the Sunday School newspaper, Picture Lesson Paper, for the years 1894-1895. She had them bound and gave them to her son as a holiday gift. Some 18 years later, Roy and his father, Rev. Isaac Herschel Minerd, were organizers and officers of the first annual Minerd Reunion of 1913. Roy later presented this booklet to his granddaughter, Cynthia Louise.
