In addition to his extensive experience as an industrial arts educator, Harvey "Dean" Miner was a 50-year member of the First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, Wood County, Ohio. He donated countless hours of time and talent to :build most of the chancel furnishings, including the large overhead cross, pulpit, lectern, baptismal font, altar, and pew communion cup-holders in the sanctuary," said the Toledo Blade.
