Sunday Eve
March 22nd, 1891

Dear Sister & Family,

Well I expect you are looking for a letter from us for Late got a letter from you yesterday & you said you were. Well your letter found us all well & able for what grub we have & we never go hungry. We have plenty of such as it is & good as far as it goes & it generly goes clear down Blanche, Mable & Jen. All had quite a sick spell some time ago but are all well now. Nona is not very well this evening. I guess it must be the effects of the grip. most everybody is haveing it over this winter again. Yes , Anna got home all right. we were over one evening & spent the evening. is all I have seen her since she came home. One of wills Brothers & family were there when she got home & they were so crowded I thought it a position to stay very long. But they have moved to themselves now & I want to go & pay her a visit. She was at Brother Wills while at Trenton & Will sent me his family group. & Yesterday I got Sister Han’s & Hirans & 5 of the childrens & I have Carries family & now am waiting patiently for yours.

Well Helen I am in the carpet rags too. have 22 lbs sewed & wish I was done for it is most garden makeing time. but it will not take us very long if we could get at it & stick at it. but Nona will have to go & help Ollie tomorrow & was there yesterday. I dont know how much longer she will want her, I expect a good while for she has Neuralgia in her head & is not able to do anything now. & she will be confined about the midle of next month & I dont expect she will be able to do much untill after that is over. That is one crop that never fails in Kansas & there has been a bountiful crop this spring & winter. Ella Norris has a girl. they are more all girls too. She has too boys & one girl now. they have been nearly crazy for a girl. they wanted Blanche awful bad. but I have got off of the rag subject & got onto the baby subject. but I was going to tell you we sewed rags on the machine & it doesent take near so long. did you ever try it. if not try it & you will soon see it beets sewing by hand. I think Nett sewed the more of hers on the machine.

Wednesday morning) Well I quit the other evening & went to bed. & I guess you will think to look at my letter that I cant see well after night. & you wont miss it for I cant see to read at night hardly at all. I have never got any specs yet but guess I will have to prety soon. I had sick headache yesterday & dont feel any to good to day. We received a letter from Edd & Carrie yesterday. I dont think you visit much. I do wonder if I would come to your house if you would take me over. Yes Pa is gaining in flesh. I told him I guessed it must be bloat but he says it is not. the last pants I made him are so tight he has to let the buckle out as far as it will go. Dick was home a week the first of January & went back to Kingman & has never written a word home since. I think some times he dont care much for his children but he seems to when he does come home but wouldnt you think he would want to hear every week. well I must quit & send. this to the office & go for the rags again. Nona is still at Ollies. she is better off her neuralgia. Write soon & often to your sister
