Brothers Reunion

Brothers James 'William' Minerd, left, and Thomas Minerd, right, visit during a rare reunion in the late 1920s or early '30s, likely during the Great Depression. They lived 150 miles apart from each other -- William in Warren, Trumbull County, OH, and Thomas in Smithfield, near Uniontown, PA. Both were longtime coal miners. Reunited also in death, they and their families are buried at Hopwood Cemetery near Uniontown.
