This design was begun circa 1945 by Nora (Victor) McKnight of Fairchance, PA. Other of her relatives may have contributed to the work. It was entirely hand stitched. The pattern is believed to be "Trip Around the World" which was popular in the late 1920s and 1930s. The quilt was preserved for many years by Nora's granddaughter Beth Lynn Radcliffe and today is in the possession of Nora's grandson Robert Cyphert and his wife Debra.
