Our
Mission and Values
Minerd.com
The
mission of Minerd.com is to be a forum for sharing knowledge among our cousins and the public to strengthen
our understanding of the long-term, combined impact of extended families on
society. This is done through:
-
Research – To identify each and every descendant of Western
Pennsylvania pioneers Jacob and Maria (Nein) Minerd
Sr.;
-
Social Outreach – To hold an annual reunion open to the family at
large;
-
Knowledge -- To collect, organize and preserve all types of documentation
and photographs related to cousins’ lives and their contributions to
Americana; and
-
Publishing – To share extensive research results through printed
materials and our website.
Annual
Reunion
The mission of the
national Minerd-Miner-Minor Reunion, held each summer in Western
Pennsylvania, is to:
-
Promote family relationships by holding an entertaining annual reunion
at a place of historic significance in the family;
-
Educate our cousins about our family’s rich history and heritage; and
-
Share and publish research information widely to broaden our
understanding of our extended family’s role in our communities nationwide.
