Pattern: Block Embroidered
Quilter: Agnes (Stoner) Wood

This attractive yellow block embroidered quilt was created circa 1930 by the late Agnes (Stoner) Wood of Oblong, IL. It measures 6 feet x 6 feet. Her niece, Sharon (Sheldon) Kern, remembers sleeping on it in Agnes' center guest room beginning in 1942. Sharon slept on it, rather than under it, because the temperatures was quite hot in Illinois during annual summer visits lasting several weeks each.

It was photographed at the 2005 National Minerd-Minard-Miner-Minor Reunion
