Earl K. Miner
(1885-1961)

Earl K. Miner was born on April 9, 1885 in Mt. Pleasant Twp., Whiteside County, IL, the son of Daniel L. and Mary Elizabeth (Hodges) Minerd

As a boy, he moved with his parents and siblings to Missouri, and thence to Iowa.

Little is known about his life.

Earl was a farmer, and in 1930 resided with his parents in Berkley, Boone County, IA, on Fourth Street. Also living in the household that year were Earl's orphaned nephew and nieces, Daniel H., Gwendolyn and Hazel M. Miner (children of George).

Later in life, Earl made his home in Marshalltown, Marshall County, IA.

A rare photographic postcard is seen at right, showing an industrial parade on Marshalltown's Main Street, north of the court house.

He passed away on Oct. 6, 1961, in Marshalltown.

More will be added here when learned.
