Lawson Minerd (top right) and his wife Lutitia (Steyer) Minerd (bottom left) were longtime farmers of Maple Summit near Mill Run, Fayette County, PA. Their son Otis 'Freed' Minerd likely made this photograph image on the family farm in the early 1900s. (The other individuals are not yet identified.) Lawson also was a school board director and in 1927 and '28 was president of the annual Minerd-Miner Reunion, held in Confluence, Somerset County, PA. Among his descendants and their spouses are a Hollywood actor who's made films with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock, and a Major League Baseball pitcher with the Milwaukee Brewers.
