Ralph Miner, manager of maintenance for three decades at Fallingwater, takes a brief rest circa 1964 at the guest house pool. Fallingwater -- widely known as the world's most famous modern residence -- is located in Mill Run, Fayette County, PA, and designed for the Kaufmann family by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Ralph, the son of William Henry 'Squire' and Sara (Basinger) Miner, will be one of many of our cousins honored at this year's national family reunion, "Fallingwater: A Long Family Affair." The house is just a few miles from the mountainous farm where the parents of us all, Jacob and Maria (Nein) Minerd Sr., settled in 1791.
