Despite the lingering effects of the Great Depression, the family of Harry O. and Armena (Cain) Miner of Western Pennsylvania gathered for a reunion in about 1934 at historic Schoenbrunn Village near New Philadelphia, OH.  The matriarch of this family, Armena, of Washington, PA, stands fourth adult from right, with a purse on her arm. Her second husband, Benjamin Franklin Marshall, stands at far right, holding his hat.

Armena's adult children from her first marriage, standing left to right: Grace White, John and Ollie Plants, Orlan Miner, Jessie and Jack Schultz, Helen (Proctor) Miner (Orlan's wife), and Odger and Monalea (Ullom) Miner. Missing from the photo are Armena's children Edward Miner and Anna (Miner) Neely. Today the offspring of this group number in the hundreds, and are scattered all over the world. This page is in loving tribute to Anna Neely (1917-2001).
