Can you identify any of the faces?
The Harbaughs are a major branch of our family, dating back to 1819 in Somerset County, PA. That year, young widow Martha (Minerd) Imel married widower Leonard Harbaugh Sr. They brought 9 children to the marriage, and had 5 more of their own, for a grand total of 14. This photo shows the 4th Annual Harbaugh Reunion, held in 1929, likely in Somerset County. It was taken at the 96th birthday party of Leonard and Martha's daughter in law, Mary Magdalene (Whipkey) Harbaugh, seated at center, with a cane in her hand. Mary and her late husband, Civil War veteran David Harbaugh, had 12 children and at least 58 grandchildren.
The photo recently was discovered in the collection of a cousin. If you know any of the other identities, please let us know so we can add them to our list. Other faces we've identified are: Lucinda (Harbaugh) Younkin, Letitia (Harbaugh) Stoner, Warren Dempsey Younkin and Martha (Minerd) Gorsuch.
