Rebecca (Miner) Bateson, standing 2nd from right in the dark bonnet, was an Ohio pioneer who lived to the age of 99 1/2 years.  Born in 1814, she was the daughter of Perry County settlers Frederick and Elizabeth (Sechman) Miner.  She later lived along Buckeye Lake near Millersport, OH, and her grandson Fred Bateson helped develop what is now known as Bateson Beach, named after the family, along the lake.  This view depicts their home.  Seated is Rebecca's son, Samuel Bateson. Standing at left is friend Mildred Parian, and at right is Samuel's granddaughter, Bertha (Bateson) Bugh
