Pattern: Hawaiian Design
Quilter: Jean (Shoemaker) Ayars

 

This Hawaiian design pattern by Jean (Shoemaker) Ayars received first prize and took home the blue ribbon in 2005 in a competition at the Ventura County Fair in California. It is the most difficult applique design Jean has made to date. Her husband, James Arthur Ayars, is a descendant of Uriah and Matilda (Bodle) Minerd of Carson City and Hubbardston, MI.
