Dear sister & all

I will endevor to answer your most welcome letters that I recived a fiew days ago. this leaves us all well & hope it will find you the same. We are having pretty cool weather. Now quit. a frost last night. Well I havent very much news to write this time so you need not be disapointed if you dont get much of a letter this time. Well I am at work for Mr Wright. am still drilling wheat. have got about 100 acres to drill yet. say will. I will not wait untill next fall to get an early start. I will just drill all winter. how will that do. I will get work here with this man untill next month. thrashing is not all done yet by a good deal. the folks that I am working for are Ohio folks. Hellen, you will remember whare thay live. thay live in the house on the hill by the school house whare Mr. Jonson lived. Well yes Will you had better go too work and cut down a lot of trees and have them ready to saw and have all the brush burned so I wont burn my mushtach of. and get your saw ready. And then if the walking keeps good I will come up and help you saw wood. I think the wood has lasted pretty well. Well Hellen if I can get another money order when I go to town I will send enough to get what you want for Mabel.

Well now Will & hellen, I dont know what to say about the land. Everything is flat here at present. wheat is 43 and 44 cts and everything & cattle & land. Everything is on a stand still. all the I will make you an offer on your share of the place providing I can sell my place. during the winter I will give you $600 six hundred dollars and I want to pay the little girls the same as I pay you and that will make the place stand me $1,800 and that is all enyone would give for it. I have asked sevral men what thay thought the place was worth and thay all said about $1800. that is all it is worth at presant. Now I would like the best kind to give more if I could. I would like the best kind for each one of us to have as much as less got but I am afraid it will be quite a while before the place will bring $2,400 and it would half to bring that to make us equal with him. Now I want to hear from you & if you want that for your share then I will do my best to sell mine and by that I will get some more paper and what ever I get on my place I will pay you. if I could get $600 down I would pay you that much and if I could not get but $300 that would be all I could pay you. I would haft to pay you as I could get my payments. it might be that I could sell my place in one month or three month. and it might be all winter before I could sell it. one thing sure I could not sell it untill I found a man to buy it. I can not buy your share unless I can sell my place. Now let me hear from you as soon as you get this. and if you want that I will put my place up for sale. Will, I will try and have some money for you before long. Well it is about bed time. the folks has gon to town and thare is no one here but me and the kids and thay are in bed asleep and I am getting sleepy. give my love to all. Now pleas write soon. Will I would like to have your mules down here a while to drill wheat with. I will bet I could take some of the run out of them. good night. I am going to bed. as ever your brother.
