Isabel, Kan
November 8th, 1891

Dear Sister one & all,

I will try too answer your welcome letter that we recived the other day. Was just aful glad too here from you. Was glad you got home without any trouble but I think you had too lay over a good bit. We saw in the paper whare Will was on the streat with a big smile all over his face. Just becose his wife had got back from Kan. Well I dont blame him a bit for I expect he was gitting tired of living without a wife. Jen and Nona wint up to Websters yesterday in a cart. thay drove the old poney. I went over too Nashville last night too atend the lodge and when I got up this morning it was raining. the wind is in the north and cold. Jennie was coming back this morning but thay are storm staid and cant come till it stops raining. and I have been doing the cooking. Have got along fine.

Will I cooked potatoes made coffee frid meet and made grave. and burnt my finger and done just as well as Jen could. you thought we wer write in the midst of thrashing. but behold we have not got our thrashing done yet. I have been after a machine for several days but could not get one until last night. I got a brother odd fellow too promis he would come next Wensday. I dont know whether this rain will hinder him or not. but hope not. We have had no meting yet they put it off on the acount of bad weather. it was too comence too night but it stormed them out. Well I will be dogond if i dident miss a line. [one line of the paper is skipped above] dont scold about it. I wont do it anymore. Well blanchie would like too see you since you have got over the itch. We had company the other night. Mr Cories started too meeting & got this far and found out thare was none and thay staid the evening.

Now then, this is pa that is talking. he says he wants too talk a little. he says We have gon and wint and don it. He has rented his place too T.B.Roby and as soon as we can get read of our Wheat and our buissness fixed up he will be up thare too make you a visit for too or three month. The neighbors say thay dont see how thay can spare him longer than that. Tom says any time he wants too come back too the old home too come and he shal be Welcome. and the neighbor all say When he wants too come back too come and stay with me too or three weeks. We did not know what els too do for you know how it is. thare is no improvement. We have sold off all of our stock. (I)Late don’t know whare I will go at present. I will go just whare I can do the best. I have not seen Dick since you left but will see him before long.

Lesses says iff Mabel goes that thay want Blanchie too goo too for thay think thay ought not be seprated. but pa is afraid it will be too much for you. he wants too heer from you before he comes and he wants yours and Wills opins about it. Now Hellen we want you and Will too write just what you think about it. I gues Billy Green will not go when pa wants too go and I will go with him as far as Kansas City, and see safe on the Milwaka train and then I will feel easy about him. I forgot to tell you that we are all well. and over our bad colds. and pa has not had eny more sinking spells. After the train left Blanchie looked at it and said Now ant Hellen gon. We cant see her eny more and Hellen gon home. Now Hellen I will close as it is bed time. We want too here from you soon. Now Good Night.

As Ever Your Brother

Late

N.B. iff you want too writ any thing that you dont care abot enyone else seeing, but is, write it on a seprate pice of paper and directe your letter to pa. and iff directed too him we will know how too handle it.
