Stoner Machine Shop

Nathan Stoner's Advertisement for a Vacuum Pump, Stonersville, West Virginia

Nathan C. Stoner manufactured 14-inch bore, 12-stroke vacuum pumps in his machine shop in Sistersville, WV, playing a role in our nation's industrial expansion at the turn of the 20th century. He and his wife, Letitia (Harbaugh) Stoner, resided in Sistersville for about 10 years, from approximately the late 1890s to the late 1910s. Later, they moved west to Illinois, settling in Robinson.
