Newburg, West Virginia
Home of the Fawcett, Hanshaw and Menefee
Branches of our Clan

These are rare old postcard photograph images of Newburg, Preston County, WV, homeplace of several branches of our family in the mid-19th century. They included Hiram and Catherine (Miner) Hanshaw and some of their adult children, as well as Burkett Fawcett, who was killed in the Civil War. The date of the above image is not known, though it's believed to be around 1900. The image below is postmarked 1910.
